Measures of Academic Progress
Tracking student performance and growth is the major purpose for the assessments students take throughout the school year. In addition to teacher created assessments, students take the NWEA and ANET assessessments.
- The Northwest Evaluation Association, NWEA assessment is given three times throughout the year: 04/24-05/12/17. This measure is used to track yearly academic progress. Teachers use the data to identify specific academic gaps for individual students; identify the clusters of gaps helps teacher target the major learning deficits so that students can improve at a much faster pace.
- Achievement Network Assessment- ANET is given: 10/6/15, 1/18/17, 3/20/17, and 6/21/17. The data from this test is used to evaluate how students are progressing with Common Core State Standardized curriculum compared to students throughout our district and our nation.
- The MSTEP Test: April 10 - May 5: Grades 5 and 8
May 1 - May 25: Grades 3, 4,6, and 7
